In the Official Gazette dated January 6, 2022, with the signature of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it was decided—following the evaluation of the conservation status of the Çelebibağ Flamingo Area, located within the boundaries of Erciş, Van—that the area whose boundaries and coordinates are specified be registered and declared as a Strictly Protected Sensitive Area.
